Overview

Reporting to the Director of Patient Financial Services, this position oversees and manages all billing, follow-up and appeals realted to RMG physician medical claims. The manager will coordinate efficiencies and maintain revenue integrity related to billing for all payers. The manager will perform other patient accounting functions as needed.

 

Essential Duties

  • Provide oversight and leadership for Physician Revenue Cycle process
  • Conduct ongoing analysis and assessments of operations for continuous process improvements
  • Provide monthly statistical and key performance reports to Senior Management
  • Acts as the liaison to physician office personnel
  • Work with all parties to identify root causes and implement processes to limit losses due to medical necessity, authorizations, and other registration errors
  • Partner with clinical services departments to ensure sound revenue management monitoring
  • Assist with development and maintenance of policy and procedure database
  • Implement systems and technology as appropriate to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency
  • Oversee and manage accurate and timely appeals
  • Responsible for research and implementation of all billing requirements for payers
  • Maintain education, training and staff knowledge of regulations guiding their roles
  • Ensure staff usage of on-line education and credentialing opportunities and requirements
  • Perform duties related to timekeeping and staffing
  • Provide ongoing training to staff based on opportunities identified through audits
  • Embrace cohesive work culture to foster high performance among staff

Responsibilities

Required Experience

  • Five years' experience in physician revenue cycle management and at least three years' experience in a leadership role

Required Licensure/Education

  • High School graduate

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
