Reporting directly to the Nurse Manager of Nursing Professional Development, the Onboarding Specialist is a highly visible, trusted, collaborative professional nurse responsible for facilitating new graduate nurse orientations from the point of job acceptance to orientation training. The Specialists follows up on orientation, conducting regular, documented rounding, and coordinating focus groups/retention celebrations and onboarding satisfaction surveys. A skilled communicator with strong emotional intelligence, the Specialist is skillful in building and managing relationships in addition to being an effective communicator who drives a focus on accountability and OneRiverside. The Specialist facilitates identification of learning needs and serves as an educational resource and performance consultant for Riverside Medical Center. The Specialist also coordinates and provides mentor/preceptor training and plans and conducts preceptor recognition programs to assure retention of top talent and assuring linkage of all work efforts and outcomes to support Magnet redesignation and ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) global standards.
